A guest lecture titled “Labour Laws and Labour Reforms in Sri Lanka” was held on 19 May 2026 at 12.00 noon for the course unit ECEH 22013 – Labour Economics. The session was conducted by Mrs. R. Supasini, Lecturer (Probationary), Department of Law, Faculty of Arts, University of Jaffna. The lecture provided valuable insights into labour laws and recent labour reforms in Sri Lanka, contributing to the students’ understanding of labour economics and related legal frameworks.
A guest lecture on “Viewing the Contemporary Economy through a Qualitative Lens” was conducted by Dr. Diluxy Marion Ravichandran, Senior Lecturer at Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University, for the undergraduate course unit Current Issues in the World Economy offered by the Department of Economics, Faculty of Arts, University of Jaffna. The lecture was held via Zoom on 26th January 2026 from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and contributed to improving students’ understanding of contemporary economic issues through qualitative analysis.
