A special meeting was convened on September 2nd , 2024, at 2:00 PM at the UBL Premises. Attendees included Dr.(Ms).K.Karunaanithy (Head of the Department) Mrs.M.D.A.Christian (Senior Treasurer), representatives from the Young Economists Association (YEA), Professor Kanes K Rajah (PhD, MSc, BSc, PGCAP, FHEA, Chartered Manager FCMI), and representatives from UBL.  The primary objective of the meeting was to recognize the significant contributions of the YEA, offer support for future initiatives, and explore innovative approaches to further advance the organization’s activities. During the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting economic understanding and fostering professional development. This meeting served as a valuable platform for strengthening the collaboration between the YEA and UBL and for outlining future plans for mutual benefit.
