Empower Her – Experience sharing session Celebrating Women's Achievements and Inspiring Future Leaders

The Department of Economics at the University of Jaffna commemorated International Women’s Day with a special event titled “Empower Her.” Held on March 20, 2024, this event was designed to celebrate women’s achievements and inspire future leaders in the field of economics and business.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Gender Economics and Small Business and Entrepreneurship courses, highlighting the importance of empowering women for future education and economic development. Three successful women entrepreneurs, Jenunesan Sharmila, Sivarasa Mariyarosary, and Addul Raif Nisar Batheela, were invited to share their personal experiences and insights into their successful business careers.
